At the LCW AGM held on November 13th the members of the Executive Committee for 2012 was finalized:
Jeff Scott will be taking over the role of Touring Director from John Thompson. Thanks to John for all of the great routes and all your hard work helping to maintain a strong touring group in the club. Look for lots of great ideas from Jeff in the future.
Greta Welsh has taken on the role of Social Director. Her enthusiasm and dedication to the sport is inspiring. Greta, along with John Thompson, will be representing LCW at the London Bicycle Summit next week. Watch the new Social Events page for lots of great club activities in the future.
Art Adams will be taking on the newly created role of Director at Large. Art will be attending the OCA session on Long Term Athlete Development on November 26th.
Lorne Falkenstein will continue in the role of Vice President and will continue to be an integral part of many of the club's activities.
Andrew Botterell will be continuing as the Springbank Director. Andrew has done a fantastic job organizing the race for the last two years.
Paul Dean has retained the role of Racing Director. Paul spends many hours every winter in the thankless task of planning events and scoping out new racecourses. Thanks Paul!
Brad Nicol continues as the Director of Finance and Membership. His behind-the-scenes work is invaluable to the club.
Bob Steer will continue to act as the Secretary and unofficial photographer. Check the galleries for lots of his great work.
I have taken over the role of President from Fred Phillips. Fred has done an excellent job leading the club for the past four years.
Fred will now take the role of Past President and will assist me in the transition. Thanks for all your hard work Fred!
I will also continue in the role of Webmaster.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank all of our other volunteers on the Race Committee, Touring Committee, and Springbank Committees. Without our dedicated volunteers none of our activities could take place. We are always in need of new volunteers, so if you are interested please contact the appropriate director for your area of interest.
